Retarder slows the drying of acrylic paint so you get longer to work with it. Add a drop to the palette and blending, wet-on-wet work and long gradients all become possible without rushing.
It is not a thinner. Use it when the paint is drying faster than you can move it. 18ml dropper bottle.
